Child Safety Standards Policies
Polivoz strongly emphasizes the importance of protecting our community from any content that includes threats or that seeks to glorify or trivialize sexual exploitation and acts of violence. We act urgently to remove any material that falls within these categories.
Our understanding of sexual exploitation is comprehensive and covers a wide range of unacceptable behaviors. It goes beyond requesting, exchanging, or distributing sexual material; it includes any sexual content involving minors, which we treat with the utmost seriousness.
We consider any threat to distribute intimate images—especially those shared without consent—to be a serious violation of our policies.
Activities involving the offer of sexual services (prostitution, escorting, sexually explicit massages), as well as the recording or distribution of sexual encounters, are strictly prohibited. If necessary, we will escalate the matter to the competent authorities.
Data protection
POLIVOZ S.A.S. processes personal data in accordance with Ecuador’s Organic Law on Personal Data Protection (LOPDP) and, in particular, under the provisions of Articles 7, 9, and 34 through 36, which regulate the lawfulness of processing, confidentiality, communication, and the transfer of personal data.
1. Applicable lawful basis (Article 7 LOPDP)
The LOPDP establishes that personal data may be processed and disclosed when there is a legal obligation, a public authority mandate, or when processing is necessary to comply with corporate, regulatory, administrative, tax, or fiscal obligations.
Under this article, POLIVOZ only transfers personal data to third parties when strictly necessary to:
- Respond to formal requests from competent authorities.
- Comply with legal obligations (corporate, regulatory, administrative, or tax-related).
- Cooperate in processes arising from complaints, investigations, or legally ordered verifications.
- Outside these cases, personal data is not shared or provided to third parties.
2. Confidentiality and duty of secrecy (Article 9 LOPDP)
Article 9 provides that data controllers must adopt confidentiality, secrecy, and security measures and obligations with respect to the data they process.
Therefore, POLIVOZ guarantees that:
- User information remains encrypted and protected.
- Internal access is strictly limited to authorized personnel and based on operational needs.
- No unauthorized use or disclosure is carried out beyond what is permitted by law.
3. Communication and transfer of personal data (Articles 34, 35, and 36 LOPDP)
The LOPDP distinguishes between data communication, international transfer, and communication for legal compliance. In the case of POLIVOZ:
Article 34 – Communication of personal data: permitted when there is a lawful basis, such as compliance with a legal obligation or requests from public authorities. POLIVOZ applies this rule only when it relates to complaints or formal requests.
Article 35 – Rules for communication: any disclosure must meet security, confidentiality, and proportionality duties. POLIVOZ does not disclose more information than necessary to meet the legal obligation.
Article 36 – Exceptions and permitted transfers: disclosure is allowed without consent when there is a specific law or an order issued by a competent authority. This covers, for example, complaints, official investigations, and tax compliance before the SRI or other regulatory entities.
4. User safeguards
Based on these provisions:
- Transfers are not made for commercial purposes, and data is not shared with third parties unrelated to the operation of the service.
- Processing follows strict security, confidentiality, and encryption standards.
- Any disclosure is made only when required by law or requested by a competent authority, and always within the limits established in the cited articles.
